Racing to save lives...

On occasion, I check this to see how everyone is doing. The last entry I have posted on here dates back to March of last year...unbelievable!

There have been many changes in my life. First and foremost, I am no longer living...in Florida that is, haha. Why I did that, I don't know...just for fun I guess. I have relocated to the west coast in southern California to be exact.

I'll have to update you on everything in another entry (hopefully not in another year)!

I am posting on here to inform you that I will be running a marathon in June of this year. A few of you know that I will be running a marathon in June. Yes, a full marathon (26.2 miles). You might be thinking, "Jimmy must be nuts! 26.2 miles? Riiight..." I kid you not and I am absolutely serious about this.

I have signed up for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in San Diego on June 3rd. I am currently training to participate in this event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

I have signed up with the San Gabriel Valley Team and we currently train at the Rose Bowl. This past Saturday was the first official day of training and we had to run a little over 3 miles which I will tell you is rather difficult with a sprained ankle! Not to worry though because the ankle has been healing fairly well and I am willing to endure the hardships I must overcome in order to complete my goal!

Each member is asked to raise a minimum of $2400 so please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. I ask each one of you to make a minimum contribution of $26.20 ($1 per mile).

I know it may seem like a lot of money, but please I ask for your help. I am not able to do this alone. Instead of going out and spending your money on alcohol (yes, I know this can be hard for some of you) give your liver and kidneys a break, stay home and enjoy a home-cooked meal. What better way to spend the money by contributing to a worthwhile cause? You may or may not know someone who suffers from a blood cancer, but that is besides the point. There are numerous people who suffer from these who are unable to experience life at its fullest due to the limitations. Every little bit helps and I sincerely believe that with all of your contirbutions and support, we can truly find a way to eliminate cancer once and for all!

You can visit my personal website here to make your donations:

Racing to Save Lives

I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress and please pass this along!

You can also find out more about Team in Training here:

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!!!

To all my Friends and Family,

I am writing to you because I (we) need your help. Every year my fraternity participates in the Relay for Life event, put on by the American Cancer Society, at our school. This is an event where teams raise money for cancer research and then for 24 hours, the team members take turns walking around our UCF track.

Last year, our brothers were able to raise over $5,000 with the help of our nation-wide brothers and the local community. This year, we have set our new goal at $7,500.

There is also a Luminaria Ceremony which pays tribute to the courageous men, women, and children whose lives have been touched by cancer. If you or someone else you know would like to purchase one as well, send them to our Team Page or contact me and I will send out a form.

The American Cancer Society is our chapter philanthropy in honor of one of our brothers who had cancer and survived. It is very important to us that we help other people in our local community battle cancer and survive, like our brother did.

We have all been touched by someone ifn our lifetime who has been afflicted with this disease and we need everyone to help us out. Remember, it's up to us to help in the fight against cancer. We believe we are very close to finding a cure. Please help us this year as we walk for the hope of a cure by clinking on the link below and making a contribution. Thank you.

    <lj:music>Korn - Twisted Transistor</lj:music>

The day has finally come: our departure from Freeport, Bahamas.

It's been over 5 weeks since I've left Florida to embark on such an amazing experience. It has definintely been a helluva time here in Freeport. The weather has been back and forth, from cold to warm and back to cold and then back to warm again, as it is today. It's such a lovely day and our flight doesn't leave for a few hours so I'm going to just walk around the markeplace a bit before we leave.

All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go...but not really. I've met some great people here and it's truly been fun, but I'm ready to head home. Last night we partied it up as much as we could. I didn't get too crazy, but a few of the other guys did. We met some people that are here on their spring break a few days ago and we've been hanging out with them since. Last night they wanted to stay up and party with us since it was our last night so that was cool. One thing I will not miss is Bahama Mamas, that's for sure. It's a bar that's open till 4am, the only one in the marketplace so everyone gathers there when it gets late. All the locals see the women and they move in, it's insane. A couple of us usually keep an eye on the girls we're with just to make sure they're good. I've seen a lot of shit go down, and the girls just want to have fun, but the locals are kinda creepy. So we just move in and CB them (if you don't know what CB stands for, just ask). They don't really have any respect for women, from what I can see. They just wait around till they show up from wherever they're from.

I was up till 4:45am w/ the LA core guys since they're leaving early, 5am to be exact. These guys are truly champions. To be able to stay up so late and not even care. They'll have plenty of time to sleep on the plane though, so I guess it's all good. Pretty much everyone in general that I have met has been good people and I'm glad to been have given this opportunity.

Went out to dinner last night; had a $60 gift certificate to a nice Italian restaurant that I won from a raffle at a charity function. Wasn't really looking at running into anyone, but guess what? I did. And whom you may ask was it that I ran into? None other than Orlando Bloom himself. He was still on the island with his girlfriend Kate Bosworth (playing the role of Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman movie). A few other people were with him as well, his personal assistant Mike and his girlfriend Francine (a Set Production Assistant on the movie) and a couple others. It was cool running into them and we said our goodbyes.

Well, that's about all I'm going to say right now. I'd like to head back to my room to make sure one more time my stuff is in order and I'm gonna go grab some food. I'll chat with you all later and I'll be seeing most of you guys soon! Peace!

It's Sunday again! Woohoo! That means another day off which is very much needed. My roomate has his laptop up and running in the room, so I'm using that now instead of the internet cafe. I'm just in a lazy mood now but I do need to go out and get food at some point.

Last night, after work and the vigil we had for the make-up artist that recently passed away, we had the Wrap Party where everyone from cast and crew came out. It was really awesome. There were tons of people and free food and free drinks. The food was freakin' amazing, and the fact that it was free makes it even better! :) I didn't drink anything but a coupel cokes, so that was ok...just haven't been in the drinking mood. I met a ton more people and it was really cool. I'll post up the pics later though. Talked to Orlando Bloom for a bit and took a picture w/ him as well as Lee Arenberg, Marty Kleeba, David Baille, etc.

Lee's a really nice guy. I see him on the set all the time and we acknowledge each other w/ the occasional nod of the head or a fist bump or just a casual "hey, how are you?" Last night he saw me and was like, "Hey, what's going on man? What's your name? See you on set all the time and I almost didn't recognize you w/o your make-up." Haha...so that was pretty awesome that he recognized me. Marty's a pretty visible person on set as well and he's always saying "hey" to everyone. Also, funny thing...I ran into this woman on set yesterday. I had no idea who she was at first, she's an older woman. I chatted with her on set for a little bit, and then after the vigil I ran into her again. I noticed her standing next to Kiera Knightley and chatting w/ her and I'm like "that's probably her mom." Well, I didn't think anything of it at first, but then I ran into her again at the party last night and I formally introduced myself. Turns out, that was her mom. Lol...so I've been randomly chatting it up w/ Kiera Knightley mother and I didn't realize it till last night. I actually chatted a bit w/ Kiera last night, but I didn't ask for a photograph. Her mom was like "Are you working on Monday?" I said yeah b/c we all pretty much are...it's the last week. She said that we shall see you then, and I shook their hands and wished them a lovely evening and said that I'd see them on Monday. I was like "Wow...that was awesome!" Haha...

But yeah, there's soo much to say about the party that right now, I'm too lazy to type up. It's a Sunday after all and I'd like to get out and do stuff. I'm looking out the screen door and the sky doesn't look too appealign at the moment, so I think I'm gonna dip outta here soon before it starts to rain.

I'll be back soon so I'll be talking to you guys soon! Later!

I'm sitting here in the holding tent as usual. Got here around 5am. We had a call time of 4am. I haven't been feeling very well lately. Probably b/c of the lack of sleep and the long hours at work, and possibly b/c of hte smoke they use to setup the shot. Oh well...

I feel like I'm ready to head back to the States already, lol. Johnny Depp has left the island already. The other actors are still here though. The past couple days, I've had some pretty good screen time, so we'll see what happens in the movie. Shame I have to wait over a year before the 3rd one comes out to see it. The 2nd movie comes out this summer, so we'll see if I have any screen time in it.

So this past weekend, one of the main make-up guys passed away. It was pretty sad around the set, mostly within the make-up personnel. They're taking donations as well as holding a basketball tournament this weekend to raise money, so I'm going to take part in that hopefully if I feel better.

I meant to call Shelly yesterday to wish her a Happy Birthday, but when I got back from the set, I showered and just crashed. I didn't make it to the gym like I had hoped, or done anything else, but the sleep was much needed. I'm still feeling tired today, but it happens. I hope today is a fast and early day.

I'm gonna dip outta here for a bit. A couple of the guys are leaving tomorrow so we might do something tonight, I don't know. Anyway, peace out!

    <lj:music>Olympics update on the TV</lj:music>

President's Day Weekend is technically over, but not for some of us. Us Asian Pirates are on hold today, which is nice. Sunday didn't feel like a Sunday, but yesterday did (weird, I know!)

We're another man down again as Julius left this morning. For whatever reason, he's been experiencing double vision for the past couple days and he went to the doctor's office yesterday and they did some tests, but couldn't do a MRI here on the island, so production had to arrange a flight for him this morning to go back to Orlando to get that checked out, just as a precautionary measure. It sucked seeing him go b/c this just starts the trend. This week, a couple of us are leaving, but the rest of us will should be staying through till next week. So far, we've pooled all of our pictures together and in total, we have about 1300 pics. We're gonna burn them onto a DVD and make copies so we each have them.

Nothing new going on today really. Doing laundry...funny how this always seems to be a constant task regardless where I go. Going out later to meet up some of the guys for volleyball and basketball. Lately, we've been playing football too. My body is really sore from all of it, but I still play b/c I'm stubborn...haha.

I'll have to check the bulletin board later to see what's going on tomorrow, whether we're working or not. Another thing that sucks is that the EITC (East India Trading Company) guys are supposedly finishing up today and perhaps leaving tomorrow for good. It's gonna be crazy seeing everyone leave. It's been such a great time and experience for all of us here.

It's funny how people randomly come up to me and aske me if I'm in the movie. At first, I'm like "No, jsut visiting..." and they're like "You're lying." Haha...I get called out on it a couple times. Sometimes to save the hassle I say "yes." They start asking a ton of questions about the other actors, whta's going on, etc. Of course I can't tell them much, but it's fun seeing them try to get info. out of us. The other day, a bunch of high school girls from Kentucky that were here for a choir tour were leaving the hotel and they saw us and figured out we were with the movie. They were all about Johnny Depp (go figure). It's interesting how people want to get their pictures taken w/ us and even ask for our autographs...lol. It's all for fun though. I should start charging or something! :)

Umm...I don't really know what else to say. There's really not a whole lot of updating since there hasn't been a whole lot that's happened since the last time I posted. I just miss the people back in Orlando, and movies! I need to see a ton of movies when I get back!!!

I'm heading out now, so I'll catch you guys later!

So it's finally Sunday! We've all been working soo much this week. Working 6 days in a row, with each being about 13-5 hr days is a long-ass week! But it looks as if we have the next 2-3 days off, Tuesday is still unsure, but today and tomorrow (President's Day) we have off. Nothing but relaing, working out, volleyball and basketball for me. I got to sleep in today which was freakin' awesome! I miss sleep, haha! This coming from the guy that believes sleep is overrated!

One of our guys, Mike, left the other day b/c he had to get home for work. He couldn't get off anymore. We couldn't do too much celebrating b/c we had an early call time which sucked. But it was good. He was like the hardest working out of all of us, since he was like Reggie Lee's stand-in and photo double, yet he was the first to leave. I find that rather ironic. Anywho, we miss ya man!

We finally wrapped up Pirates 2 yesterday. The last shot was filmed and now, it's off to the editing stage. It was kinda cool. The announcement was made while we we're on the shipa nd everyone's like "WOOHOO, YEAH!!!" It was cool. So we're now just working exclusively on 3. Even though this has been the longest week thus far, we've done soo much! Haven't really sat around in the holding tent as much...they just moved us onto the ships. We've been out on the water pretty much all week shooting some cool scenes. Yesterday was one of the best days filming. I was late to set b/c I kinda overslept and my roomate left, thinking I was awake, but wasn't. Oops! Thank God I got the phone call and got up and ready in time to catch the last bus leaving for the set! I was like "Oh shit!" Haha...everyone's poking fun at me now, but it's all good. I deserve it, lol.

I was hopign to post more, buuuut I told some people I'd go play some volleyball w/ them and then basketball. I gotta go change and what not so I'll post more later. Later!

<lj:music>Island music playing over the speakers in the Square</lj:music>

I've been working the past few days. We've been out on the sea on one of the ships and it's been pretty nice. The first day on board was really cold, but the past two days the weather has been decent. The only thing that sucks is that our call times have been really early in the morning, around 5 or 5:30am. Today wasn't so bad w/ a 7am call time. We're working again tomorrow at 9, so I get to at least sleep in a little bit.

Yesterday, we took the ship out to sea, like a few miles off shore which was pretty cool. We were doing some helicopter shots so basically we just did random tasks on deck as the helicopter flew by. It was really nice to actually sail the ship. Of course a tug boat took us out there otherwise it'd take forever to get out to sea since the ship is built on top of a barge. A couple of the guys had their cameras stashed in their costume, but what I was wearing, it was hard to stash anything b/c there wasn't any room anywhere at all. The crew on board also had cameras and we took them out and took random shots. Some really good ones and others are just plain goofy. It was probaly the best day we've had on set thus far. Today was cool too. Doing pretty much the same shots, so it's nice.

I went to a Charity party this past Sunday here on the island. It was put on by a bunch of the cast and crew here on the movie. It was really cool. I got there about an hour after it started, but I did get to meet a few of the other people on production as well as the other actors in the movie. Got a couple pictures but I don't have a way of posting them yet. I met Agnus Barnett and Giles New. These names may not ring a bell, but these are the two British soldiers in the first movie that stop Johnny Depp from taking a ship from the docks. They're both pretty funny and their great guys. I hung out w/ them for a bit before mingling w/ the rest of the croud. I kept running into people and I met Bill Nighy. He was pretty cool as well. Was telling stories about random things and he's pretty busy, working on 3 different movies at the moment, but they've been put on hold b/c the production is still trying to get funding. But he has a good memory. He remember my name so that was cool. I see him a couple times on set and he's like, "Hey there Jimmy!" I'm like, "Hi Bill, how's it going?" Haha...that's awesome! Same goes for Agnus and Giles. It's funny b/c usually, when you see one, the other one is close by. Andy Beckwith, another actor you may not know by name, but once you see him, you're like, "Oh...I know him!" Hehe...he was in the movie Snatch, with Brad Pitt, Benecio Del Toro, and a bunhc of other people. He played Errol, Brick Top's primary enforcer. He's really cool and I see him all the time, around the set, here at the Square, and he's a really nice guy. He and a couple of the other crew had their families in town visiting for Valentine's Day so that was really nice. I didn't want to bother him too much b/c I figured he would want to spend time with his family. But for the most part, I'md having fun.

But yeah...we're on the ship sooo much that even after I get off, I still feel like I'm on board in the water. Like I'm still swaying back and forth or something. it's crazy, but it happens. Fortunately, it hasn't been rough out in the waters so no one has gotten sick. Knock on wood, I know. Anyway, we got a later call time tomorrow, but we have to eat breafast before we head to set b/c breakfast would be done by the time we get there. Don't know what time they would wrap us up tomorrow, hopefully it wouldn't be too late. I'm kinda looking forward to a day off soon!

Jen was thinking about visiting me this weekend, which would have been fantastic, but unfortunately next week looks like it's going to be a crazy week for her, so I don't blame her. Still love ya anyway ;)

Well, I'm pretty much done here. Sorry if this is a bit long, but I haven't really updated in a while. Buut...I'll try when I have more time, and if I'm not extremely exhausted like I have been in the past couple days. Until then, have a great day/night/whatever!

    <lj:music>Jimmy Eat World - "Work"</lj:music>

I'm sitting here at a little internet cafe in Freeport. Just had a late lunch/early dinner. Food here is awesome, just gotta figure out where to get it. Gotta be careful though, it can get pretty pricey!

The island is pretty cool. Was driving around early, actually riding around it is more like it, but it looks like any other place, w/ the exception of all this land...lol, and water being like everywhere.

I'm going to back track a little here, starting w/ the traveling yesterday...

Got to the airport safely and boarded the plane to Miami. Met some guys who did it before and they were telling me how cool it is. Got to Miami and we ended up leaving a little late...actually, we left quite later than normal. Turns out, the plane was overweight! Sooo crazy! We sat there all hot and what not b/c the engine was off, and it was a small plane too! Full and everything. Soo many asians!! Hahaha....felt weird. But anyway, they took off some luggage which sucked for quite a lot of people, but I was one of the lucky ones that had their luggage on board. We finally made it to Freeport around 11:30pm and checked in, got my roomate and went to get food. Things close here really early!!! Insane! We barely managed to get food, but we did.

So, this morning we did a little grocery shopping. Went to the Winn-Dixie down the road and picked up some stuff. We have a fridge so we just got some beverages...no alcohol...yet....lol, and some snacks. Got back and talked to some people and they were like "You got a fridge?!?!" and "Dude, that's cool, we should go to the store too!" Haha...looks like we made some people's day.

Met some more people and had a little meeting before a few of us had to go to Wardrobe (which is like on the other side of the island) to get fitted for costumes. Mine's soo cool, but thick! Sigh...and well, I kinda had my head, ahem...shaved......like no hair! Don't worry, I took pictures...but I won't post them! Hahah...not till I get back though. Looks liek I'll have my head shaved till I actually leave here, so 5 weeks...wow! I know, it's crazy, but well, you do what you gotta do.

We start shooting tomorrow. Cant' divulge much about the movie, for obvious reason! But we'll be doing it a couple days, off and on. Sundays are our mandatory days off. No one works on SUnday so that's nice. BUt we may be working either 3-6 days a week. It's pretty nice down here and I can't wait to get started! Finally I can relax and have fun, but do work too! The guys I've met here are pretty cool.

Oh, me and my roomate met Keira Knightley's double...haha, and she's a looker! ;) Turns out, she's staying in the room right next to us! Hehe...it's all good though...fun times! Haven't gone to check out the beach yet, but I plan on it. Have some time this evening b/c we're done for the day.

Well, I'm about done here, so I'm gonna head out! I'll try and keep posted here! Catch you al

    <lj:music>"Questions" - System of a Down</lj:music>

Well, it's about 12:30pm here in good ol' sunny Orlando, Florida. I will be leaving my place around 3:45ish when Jaimee comes to pick me up and take me to the airport. Wow...I can't believe this day has finally come! Been sooo busy w/ work lately that I really haven't had time to get real excited for this trip! I'll be arriving in Freeport, Bahamas later this evening after a layover in Miami. I really don't know what to expect.

I know that I will be picked up at the airport when I get there and taken to my hotel. There's some stuff for me at check-in already and I guess, depending on what time I start tomorrow morning will determine what i do tonight! :) AllI know thus far is that tomorrow morning I take the shuttle to wherever and get fitted for costumes. Haha...sounds interesting!

They're taking care of pretty much eveything, expenses, etc. on top of paying me. I'll have my phone on me, but as of tomorrow, I have put a suspension on the account so I don't have to pay for the month I'm gone and plus the rates are ridiculous ($2.99 a minute!!!!). I'm waiting for the unlock code to come through so I can get a SIM card while I'm down there and I can keep in touch w/ people. But until then, there's a nice little internet cafe that I'll make use of and post up here from time to time, whenever I can!

I'm gonna miss you guys, but feel free to drop me a line! Most of you have my e-mail (insidescoop21@yahoo.com), or just send some messages my way via this! Well, that's about all I got right now...just gonna chill out a bit before I go! Take care and good luck w/ everything! I shall see you guys in about a month-ish!

<lj:music>Vertical Horizon - "Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning)"</lj:music>

So it's about 3:30am and for whatever reason, I cannot go to bed.

It has been quite some time since I have last written anything here. That either signifies that either I do not have anything to talk about or that I am, in fact, too busy to concern myself with this. I would have to lean towards the latter here.

Classes have been going very well. Keeping motivated and doing the work helps. So does studying, go figure, eh? I can't really complain, except for the fact that my classes are so early in the morning. I manage though.

Work has been a great deal of, well...work. It has been hectic at times since the month of October is generally our busiest month of the year. Why you may ask? I honestly do not have an answer I can give you to satisfy your query. Managing to stay on top of things has proven quite a task. I am thankful that I have a staff that is very helpful and supportive. That definitely helps the situation. Events are lining up and as we go through each one, another pops up to keep ourselves on our toes. Today for instance (actually, given the time that this entry is being entered, the day I am referring to in actuality is "yesterday" since I have not gone to bed, therefore the next day has not really began yet). For whatever reason, it seems that there's always some sort of issue with my events. Either the room setup is not what I had requested, or that I am missing some items that I have requested and has not arrived yet.

This evening, we had an event at the Royal Pacific on Universal property. There were approximately 155 children attending this event so this proved interesting since this is the largest event that I have been responsible for and supervised. I was a bit frantic in the beginning only because I was running back and forth between rooms to make sure everything was good to go. To a certain extent, I would like to get into more of this event, but as I sit here typing away, a sense of sleepiness has suddenly overcome me.

Tomorrow, I shall be returning home to help celebrate my parent's 25th year anniversary. We have quite a bit of family coming over to my house to help celebrate. It is truly amazing that they have gotten to this point in their lives together. I can only hope that I will be as lucky as they are. On a side note, I would just like to say:

"Congratulations"

to both Nick and Adrienne on their recent engagment. I received a call this afternoon while I was in the office getting things in order for the Best Buy event this evening. Adrienne was like "Guess what? I'm engaged..." :) I knew it was going to happen soon, and I had a feeling that Adrienne had her suspicions, but that does not take away the amount of joy I could sense in her voice when she broke the news to me. I am really happy for you both and that I hope you two will enjoy the next step in your lives together full of happiness.

It brings me great joy when one of my truly great friends (I would actually consider a "best" friend) reaches this point in his/her life. It's funny how I hang out a lot with Brian and Adrienne (whenever she isn't working or sleeping the day away avoiding my phone calls, :-P). Brian is my "Best Buy" buddy. I swear we are there all too often to the point where the company's stock is actually influenced by our weekly, if not daily visits (and purchases of course...although I highly doubt that this is true). Adrienne is someone special who offers sound advice and is really great company. It's interesting how we can chat about anything, and have an understanding of where each of us is coming from. Hehe, it got to the point where I was hanging out with her so often that I was considered the other boyfriend...hehe. But it's always a riot when we all spend time together, cracking on each other and what not.

Well, it's definitely not getting any earlier, so I guess it's about time I go to bed. It's beeen a rather long couple weeks and I haven't really been able to sleep much because of it. Hopes of sleeping in tomorrow do not seem likely as I must get up early to pick up a couple thigns before going home. Perhaps I will make an attempt to update this on a much more consistent basis should my schedule permit.

Goodnight to you all...

Hehe...so yeah, I guess this says a lot about me, eh? I'm just a lazy genius, haha...who knows? ;)

Nothing much is new...work, school, more work, more school. It's a vicious cycle, but somehow I manage. I'm trying to allow myself to have some free time where I can just sit back, watch a little tv, spend some time w/ friends, etc. Trying not to do too much or let stuff get to me, but I got quite a bit going on right now. Work definintely has been intense with all the clients coming in town and all the upcoming events we have for hte month of Ocotber. I'm trying to work out a decent schedule so I don't burn myself out. Other than that, life is life...just going day to day usually, but it can't be helped to look towards the metaphorical horizon to se what's coming up. The semester is going by fairly fast and before I know it, winter break will be here. I have ideas of what I want to do, but we'll see what happens with work. Speaking of which, I think I should get ready because I'd like to stop into the office in a decent time that other people would be there so I can check e-mails and messages to make sure my event tonight goes smoothly. Tonight, I will have to luxury of providing childcare services to a family that will be at Epcot's American Adventures Pavilion attending a vow renewal from 8:30pm - 1:30am (yeah...that's right...1:30am and we're supposed to keep kids entertained till then...lol, riiight...). They will probably fall asleep at some point. I have to make sure I load up on stuff so I can make the drive home. Planned on taking a nap beofre heading off to work, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen, again...it can't be helped.

AWA is this weekend which obviously I will not be attending as I had originally hoped. Work and everything else getting in the way, as well as gas prices going up tend to do that. As much as I would like to have a set schedule to go by, things tend to pop up every week that slightly alters that, whether it'd be events that we book, or whatever, it's almost as if I can't afford to plan too far ahead.

Well, enough for now...I have to get ready to go, get food, run a couple errands, get things together and just to make sure they have the list of names of my staff that will be going through security tonight to get to the backstage area for the event. Fun times...

Here's to hoping I survive the evening...hehe

I'm at work right now. It's been a rather long day, being up at 6am to get ready for class, then afterwards, coming straight into work. I'm in the office right now, about ready to head out to Disney's Grand Floridian resort for a children's event that should take me till 11:30 + cleanup (meaning I probably won't be out till midnight, unless we get out early *crosses fingers*).

That's pretty much the story of my life right now; not entirely eventful if you ask me, but it all depends what I usually end up doing if I'm not doing school, homework (yes, I do homework and study too, can you believe that!?!?), or work. Been checking out the rush events for the fraternity and meeting a few good potentials. Also good to see some of the brothers as well. This fall has been much busier than I had anticipated, but that's not entirely bad. Work has been hectic at times and since I don't have much of a set schedule, it works out pretty well. Although working this weekend (including today) is rather distressing for me b/c I really wanted to go down to Tampa to check out the UCF-USF football game. Oh well. Shelly and a few of her friends are down there right now staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa which I helped her out with. Sucks that I'm up here working, but eh, it happens. The money is good though, but I think I'm due for a break at some point, lol. I'll manage somehow. Maybe this upcoming weekend (not including this one, but I guess that would make it "next" weekend, wouldn't it?) I'll take it easy a bit. Looking at the calendars for the upcoming months and half, it looks intense, but it'll be alright. Just gotta make sure I stay on top of things so I don't fall behind.

Maybe hit up a couple movies or something on my down time to relax. Been chillin' w/ Brian from time to time, as well as "trying" to hang out w/ Adrienne, but she works those crazy hours, it's kinda hard sometimes. They're good people though. Shelly too, although we haven't hung out much outside of campus b/c she has class in the evenings, and sometimes I end up working, whenever. She's good people as well...haha.

Well, I don't know when I'll update this thing again. It's almost time for me to head out to the resort. Should be an easy evening, granted it'll be a long one, but that'll be fine. I'll be doing the same tomorrow evening too, eh...making miss all my football games...lol.

    <lj:music>The Cure - Just like Heaven</lj:music>

Gas prices are just outrageous...no surprise there. I'm sure everyone's complaining. I'm glad I have a Camry...hehe, great gas mileage. Too bad I do a lot of driving b/c of work.

Speaking of which, I've actually been working quite a bit. No surprise there, but given the fact that I'm in classes again...yes, STOP THE PRESS!!! Jimmy's back in school!!! Haha, better believe it!

Classes are going fine. Professors are nice and energetic, not to the point where you want to be like "whoa, simmer down now..." lol. Granted I have class at 7am, I don't mind it so much. I just have to get to bed at a decent time and I'm good to go. Figure since I have to get up early for work every other day, I'm ok. Now that I'm management, I can technically go in anytime I want, but I still get in there early enough to get out in a decent time. That hasn't quite happened this week. FOr the past couple days of work, I've left around 6, 6:30 both days after being at work since 8am (on Tuesday, started work at 6:30am). IT's good money though and I'm actually getting my homework done early so I can work so much. Got a busy weekend ahead though.

Tomorrow after my classes, I'm coming back here to pack a few things and then I have to head to work. Basically, I'll prebably work from 2pm to roughly 10pm. Since I'm working Saturday monring around 7am, I'm gonna be staying over on that side of town. Planning on chillin out there for another day as well before heading back to this side of town on Sunday. Being Labor Day weekend and all, I don't really have much planned. I think I may be working on Sunday, perhaps even Monday, I don't know.

For the past couple days, I've been in a weird funk...I don't honestly know how to describe it. It's quite humorous though b/c, well...it just is. I've been busy with everything and it keeps me occupied, but at the same time, I think I need to take it easy so I don't over do anything, especially work. Hopefully the next couple weeks will be a little easier (I'm still kinda adjusting to the fact that I have classes), before getting started with the other upcoming events. I have a meeting w/ a representative at the Florida Citrus Bowl on Tuesday. I don't know what that will entail, but I'm kinda pumped...maybe establishing a "connection" for programs and bowl games, hehe...I don't know. But it's just cool to be working with them I guess.

Looking at the time, I guess I should probably go to bed, like soonish since I have class tomorrow morning. Been looking at the weekends for this fall, and it's going to be busy. I'd like to make some plans, but things may pop up from time to time, so I dont' know what'll happen. Especially with Inter-fraternity events. We're still working out/finalizing some plans for an event we're looking to host here for the annual Halloween Horror Nights event. There are things going up at FSU and maybe UF, and down at USF, but I don't know if I'll make it to them with work and school. I'm still kinda "finding my niche" here, whatever that means. I doubt I'll be going to AWA, not because of money, but I don't know if I wanna drive all the way up there to Atlanta. Speaking of Atlanta, that's where National Convention will be held from the 11th of Nov. thru the 13th. Now, the 11th is Veteran's Day, so there's no school which would make it at a nice weekend, but I don't know if I'm going to Convention yet...still deciding. Before, I was like "yeah...Phi Sigma Pi does Hot-lanta!" hehe, but now, it's like, "eh..." It'd be cool and all, but I don't know...don't know if I wanna drive up there, again, not because of money, but because it's a bit of a drive. Granted, I could probably ride w/ other people up there, but normally my car makes the trip b/c it gets great gas mileage, and given the situation right now, it'd probably be more sensible that my car be one of the ones going up. We'll see...right now, that weekend is free from anything. I should probably start planning on having that weekend off if I decide to go. As I said earlier, our event is still gettign some kinks worked out. I may not even be able to atttend b/c it looks like I may have work, so again, we'll see what happens. Don't know if I'll be making trips much, but things can change. Most of my weekends tend to be occupied w/ something. I'm going to be doing enough driving as is, so if anyone wants to visit, you best plan on coming down here...hehe, else I'll see you when I see you, whenever that may be. Even then, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to spend much time with you b/c I just may be doing something else, *shrugs* Currently taking "reservations." I would suggest making them at least 2 weeks to a month in advance to ensure that there is availability for the day that you are requesting. Otherwise, you would have to go on a tentative reservation and if anything cancels, your reservatoin will be processed in the order received. Hehe...sad, but quite possibly true.

Anyway, I'm peacing out. My bed awaits.

See, I didn't make any plans for tonight, expecting to hang out w/ Adrienne b/c we haven't hung out in a while b/c she works so much (at at crazy hours too, like 11pm-7:30am). Well, she woke up around 11ish tonight so basically I'm just going to be here. I feel bad b/c I had a couple people ask me if I wanted to do stuff, but I told them I had plans already. I dont' blame Adrienne though b/c I know she's toired and everything, but at the same time, I kinda wanted to go out and do something. It's 11:25 now and there's really no point in going out. Talked to Shelly earlier and I told her that we would probably be hanging out and she told me to call her later when we figure it out. Haven't called her b/c I didn't hear back from Adrienne till late. Oh well. Now, I'm not disappointed in anyone, nor myself. Just the fact that I kinda wanted to go out, but that didn't pan out. It happens though. Classes at UCF start up tomorrow. I'm gonna see if I can sit in on the Chinese class w./ my cousin Nelson. It's around 3 tomorrow, so we'll see. Valencia starts next monday so I still have a week off. In the meantime, I still have my work schedule to figure out. Trying to balance that between school and PSP stuff, but I want to focus first on school. I want to finish up so I can move on in life. Ugh...feeling a bit blah right now.

Been thinking about this livejournal thing. Been updating rather quite a bit, don't know why. Guess I just need something to occupy my time and get my thoughts down, whatever. Not that I really have much important or entertainign new to report...maybe I'll hold off on updating for a while...perhaps until something interesting actually happens? I don't know...

<lj:music>Ra - "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic"</lj:music>

Ugh...been a long day. Worked an event tonight and for the most part, it went well. It was a very small room, so some of the stuff that we normally would've taken had to stay on the truck. It's all good though since there were only approx. 20 kids. They were a good bunch so no complaints here. I think this was the first event that I worked as the convention manager. Was kinda cool, hehe.

Damn, I've been doing a lot of reflecting on a bunch of stuff, and I went home yesterday to actually clear my mind. It was a good trip. Talked to my parents a bit about stuff, and you know how parents are. It was nice talking to my mom. Mentioned a couple things to her and she told me to make sure I talk it over with my dad as well. Now that my little sis has finally moved out to Gainseville for school, it's mainly jsut her at home. My dad works pretty much most of the day, so that leaves her home alone in the evening. She occasionally watches my little cousin, but that doenst' happen all the time. I figure I'll call her a bit more just to see how she's doing. Maybe I'll go home a little more too, we'll see how my schedule is.

Speaking of which, I'm still trying to figure out my work schedule. I know it'll change eventually. Hoping that I won't be doing reservations much longer given my recent promotion. I'm also hoping to have perhaps sundays off which would def. be nice. Again, we shall see...

*Yawn*

I probably should be going to bed soon. I have work again tomorrow morning...eh. I'm hoping it'll be an easy day. Supposed to hang out with Adrienne tomorrow evening. Don't know what all is going on, but I think she mentioned going to a bar or something, I don't know. I'll find out tomorrow when she calls me. As for now...I'm peacing out...

    <lj:music>My Chemical Romance - "Helena"</lj:music>

It's like pouring down rain outside...not so nice weather. Power went out already, perhaps it'll go out agian, who knows? Probably shouldn't even be on my computer right now.

So anyway, I went out to Chillers last night. Mistake #1. Seeing as that I had work this morning, going out to a bar probably was the last thing I should've done. $1 beer - Mistake #2. Even though I swore off alcohol for a while, I ended up comsuming enough. Stupid me... Ran into some friends I haven't seen in a while which was good; now one of them actually knowing the bartenders - Mistake #3. Ended up having some free shots of Jaeger and something else. Why did I not stop myself? I was having a good time and I just got caught up in the moment...sigh...should've known better. All in all, when that was done, We walked to Pita Pit to get food. Lost Corbitt, who knows where the hell he went, but we knew we'd find him eventually (besides, he was our ride, so that was kinda important!). Well, needless to say, I sobered up pretty quick whereas Corbitt and his roomate John were pretty gone, so I ended up driving back. Didnt' get to bed till 3:30 and had to be up at 6:30. Oops!

I actually slept a bit better last night, surprisingly enough, even though it was only a couple hours. Work today was, well, work. Did some stuff for convention and actually introduced myself to one of the convention managers at one of the Disney resorts as a convention manager from Kid's Nite Out. Felt kinda weird, but cool at the same time...hehe. Ended up staying later than I had liked, but I had stuff to get done for the event I'm supervising on Saturday. Still waiting for my business cards to come in. Was a bit sluggish today b/c I was slightly hungover, but I was good. It was a fairly easy day today.

Ugh...I dont' know what's going on tonight. Had all these people call me at work, which was cool, so I'm still just waiting to hear back from people. Gotta stop into Valencia tomorrow morning and turn in a form and then I'll most likely head back to DeLand for a bit. Maybe I'll finally get to wash my car. I also need to take my car in to get oil change and other stuff done. Also need to stop in and see if I could get some more contacts. Hmm...seems like I got quite a bit to do. I also need to do grocery shopping at some point as well as get a few other things such as shampoo, soap, etc.

Ugh, my body is still sore from Tuesday's day at storage, and I actually got sun burned (which is a rarity for me!) So right now, my shoulder's itch. Damn it! I should probably see about stopping into the Canyon Ranch Spa at the Gaylord Plams and get a massage or something, who knows?

Anyway, I'm done rambling...gonna just take it easy a bit. Getting a bit hungry actually...what to eat? No se,

Went out to Hooters afterwards w/ a few people. I got there early and grabbed a table and actually chatted w/ the server a bit. She was pretty cute (most of them are anymways) and I chatted with her a bit before people started showing up. Once everyoen showed up, we ordered food and I chatted with her a bit. Told her a litle about Kid's Nite Out (Carol also gave her a business card. Speaking of which, I found out that I got my own business cards too and I got my new nametage which says my name and "Convention Manager," so it's pretty sweet, but I digress. Candi and Kat were giving me a hard time b/c I was obviously flirting w/ the girl...lol. <lj:music>Green Day - "Wake Me Up When September Ends"</lj:music>

Sigh...

********

The day started off pretty good, a nice chill morning...got to sleep in which was good. Got up and went to campus to take care of a couple things. Met up w/ Shelly and a couple others to get some lunch at Subway then just chilled in the OSI office for a bit. Turns out I won't be able to take Chinese this fall b/c it coincides with another class I have to take, major bummer :( After chatting w/ everyone and possibly making plans to go see a movie, I head out to run some more errands.

I get home and head out to Waterford, but I don't do much there...it was a beautiful day, but I just walked around for like 10 mins. before I called up Adrienne to see what she was up to. We decided to head to Mall at Millenia b/c she had to get a b-day gift for her mom who is turning 50 at the end of the month. We sat down and chatted a bit and she's like "Could you imagine being 50 years old?" Just sat there and started thinking of it and to be quite honest with you, I couldn't. I mean, in a couple more years, I'll be half way to that "milestone," if you will, and who knows where I'll be? I'm sure by then I'll be settled down for sure with a lovely family and some kids doing god knows what, lol. No point in worrying about shit like that.

It was an interesting trip out there b/c we walked around these stores looking at jewelry for her mom, more specifically a bracelet. However, there were just so many things such as rings, diamonds, earrings, necklaces, etc, it was just wow...I think this was like the first time going to a mall and just mainly looking at stuff like that. Of course we did go into some department stores, but still. What was funny was that each store we went into, the people were generally nice to us and I think some of them thought that we were together...lol. Of course we just kept saying stuff to each other, poking fun and what not. It was good though. Good to get out and since I haven't hung out w/ Adrienne in a few weeks, it was nice to just catch up. Granted nothing much has changed since the last time I talked to her b/c she's just mainly been working. She showed me some rings that she and Nick (her boyfriend, who's a nice guy and we joke and he calls me "the other boyfriend" hehe), were looking at. Who knows when it's gonna happen, but I would think within the next year, so we'll see. Gosh, I can't even imagine thinking about shit like that right now, seeing as that I'm not even in a relationship or anything.

******* almost 30 mins. later********

So I just got off the phone and I don't even feel like typing anymore. Ugh...got an early day tomorrow for work. At least it'll be something different than the normal office work. Gotta be at storage by 8am, but I have to get out to the office to pick up thr truck so I have to be there early. Whatever.

It's been such a weird day today, I don't even know what else to say, so I'll leave it at that.

It's been a rather long day. Granted, I really didn't do a whole lot, but we didn't get in till 5am this morning. Didn't get too much sleep, but such is the story of my life.

The summer is coming to an end. I'm gonna be taking classes again this fall which is nice. I actually missed school. But I'll be working as well and with this promotion, it'll be nice. Still gotta figure out my schedule for the fall though. Also would like to have some time off to do some things as well, so I'll have to look at my work schedule to see what I can and can't do.

Still at Barbara's right now...she's passed out (as always). But I can't blame her though. She's done quite a bit and all this traveling has burned her out. I did most of the driving the other day from Maryland but I didn't mind. Would've driven the whole way, but once I got onto I-10, I started getting a bit tired.

This summer has definitely been quite a pretty good one. I've met so many new people and also had the opportunity to do things I didn't think I'd do for some time. The trip up north was pretty awesome, busy and at times exhausting, but very good. Something different than the norm.

Funny how in only a matter of months, things can be so different. Last year, who knew I'd be doing all these things, hanging out with people like Barbara, seeng Maryland, getting in touch w/ some friends up in New York whom I haven't talked to in a while, etc. I can still remember meeting her last November at National Convention and we adopted her b/c she was the only one from her chapter there and all the UF people were making fun of her b/c of the FSU-UF game. Didn't think I'd talk to her again, but sure enough, that one fateful day I get the e-mail from her asking me if I was going to GET SLAMD up in UF (which I wasn't b/c of work). Anyway, we kept in touch and just planned some time to hang out and stuff which has been pretty good and enjoyable.

********

So I managed to get up to New York for a couple days and ended up staying at my friend Lisa's. I went to high school with her and she was pretty cool. I haven't really talked to her at all since she left for NY and I finally got in touch with her again, but it turns out she was leaving town to visit her sister in Vermont. So as a jesture of her good nature, she insisted on us staying in her apartment which was a prime location, right by NYU. It was pretty close to just about everything.

We hit up Chinatown quite a bit through our stay. Got in touch with Jacquee and Dave and managed to meet up with them for lunch and just hanging out for a bit. Managed to meet up with my buddy Wade from UCF who graduated and moved up there and is currently working for MTV as an Production Assistant (you can catch the show he's working on Trailer Fabulous on the 10 spot (10pm) on Wednesdays)) He also does some stuff w/ the show Made. Anywho, he took us out to a couple friends of his who lives down by Wall Street over by the Trump Building. These guys are like my age and they're making soo much money (they pay $2200 a month to stay where they are!) So after chillin' there for a while, we head out to this bar Slate right off of 6th Ave and 21st St. Apparently, that's where all the clubs and bars are. This place was definintely something...it was just amazing. I was taken aback by the decor. There was this lounge area with these huge couches and downstairs, they had ping pong tables and pool tables and a little loung area too. The bar itself had an illuminating top which was cool. Had some drinks, enjoyed chatting with Wade and his buddies from work and played soem ping pong and we ended up calling it an evening b/c Jess got sick. Oh well...it was a good time nonetheless.

Did some exploring around Manhattan and we eventually met up w/ Wade again before we left back to Maryland. He showed up his office which was a typical office w/ cubicles. His boss apparently is the buy that started TRL and recruited Carson Daly...had a nice corner office w/ a great view. He took us also to this little Thai restaurant called Spice which had an awesome interior and some really good food. This whole trip I've had some amazing food, it's not even funny... Afterwards, we went out separate ways, him back to work and us back to get our stuff. We stopped in this huuuge bookstore called Strand. They claimed to have over 18 miles of books (something like that). It was intense, but really cool.

So we get back to Maryland and try to take it easy. Went out to meet up w/ Barbara's grandparents whom I've met before for lunch and we hung out there for a day. All I got to say is wow...I mean, where they lived was just an awesome place. It's this little town away from everything right by the Chesapeake Bay. Her grandfather took us out to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and I had a little history lesson which was neat. Saw some jellyfish in the water as well as a horseshoe crab (kinda cool). This area was just so relaxing, it was just beautiful. The day itself was a beautiful one at that. After all of this, I had a craving of seafood, hehe :) Man, I just had such a great time! Barbara, when you talk to your grandparents again, tell them "Thank You" for me...and make sure you tell your grandmother that "Timmy" says it ;) hehe...

Got back to "the other side" of Maryland and just tried to relax, but things happen, ya know? Barbara was getting restless and what not and we decided to just head back to Florida.

The drive wasn't too bad, given all the traffic and everything, but it definitely was interesting. I did most of the driving which I didn't mind, except for a little bit in the beginning and a little tiny stretch in the middle where she managed to get a ticket for driving only 20 mins. (lol...sorry, I had to barb...) and when we got onto I-10. So it's pretty much been a chill day...relaxed by the pool a bit and went and get some good food.

Gonna be back in Orlando soon and getting back to work. Gotta figure out what's going on for the fall and have a game plan for when it starts up again.

It's getting pretty late here and my mind has just been overflowing w/ thoughts, hence the reason for all the jumping around from one thing to the next.

Goodnight...

I'm going to attempt to update this.

So much has happened, I don't even know where to begin. But my state of mind has been somewhat, pre-occupied, if you will. I gues that explains why I haven't had the "urge" to update, even though I've been contemplating doing it for quite some time. I've been getting somewhat frustrated at times, but I just deal with it. Taking this little trip has been rather fun. I've enjoyed my time...

Another day of work...one more before I have a day off...finally! It's been rather interesting the past week. I've been losing track of what day is what and you know I've worked quite a bit when I have to associate a day w/ whatever event I worked at and where, especially when you have a dream about work. Sigh...after tomorrow, my schedule goes back to "normal" whatever that means.

I've been really tired lately too...but it happens...

    <lj:music>Rise Against - "Give it All"</lj:music>

Well, again...I pretty much worked all day today. Granted I did have somewhat of a break and I slept in slightly, but I've been out on the other side of town up until now. It's almost 1am.

Worked outside in the heat for a couple hours, damn was it hot out today! Thank God they moved the event in the evening to indoors, otherwise, I don't know how I would have dealt with the weather being the way it was.

The event went well...last one with Metlife. Met a couple girls actually that were attending the event. Actually really talked to one of them. Funny how I was trying to pick them up, seeing as that I've seen them almost this entire week by working the events. One's from Ohio (Cinncinati to be exact) and well the other one I did not really have the luxury to have any sort of real conversation except for the occasional comments here and there. She was pretty hot though, hehe. Reddish-brown hair w/ a couple blonde streaks in the front...Rogue (from X-Men) style...hotness... :) I only know her as No meat-children's buffet-girl (long story) or to a select few the "Eagle" (another long story, but not really...) The one from Ohio, her little cousin was with us most of the time throughout each event and I'd see her from time to time as she came to check on her. Tonight, I actually chatted w/ her a bit and she was cute...almost invited her out to dinner w/ a couple of us and even downtown, but I was like, "What am I thinking? I can't do that..." Hehe...leave it to me to try and pick up girls at an event, lol. Sigh...what am I doing?

I didn't make it out to downtown at all...would have liked to, but I was just too tired and it's just been a long week in general.

Dealing with change is difficult, but you just have to do it. It's a part of life. Just have to adapt to your surroundings. It sucks, but I just have to deal with it. Right now, I'm not so sure about a lot of things and to me, that's really aggravating, annoying, and not to mention frustrating. Grr...

I was really in a bed mood after I got home last night after the event. It was late and I just was ready to let go, but I calmed down after a while and eventually went to sleep.

So I think I finished watching Ah! My Goddess! Only 24 episodes...sigh, so sad. It was a pretty good series too and I'm disappointed it's over. Now all I got is Naruto (which is at Episode 143, waiting for 144 to come out next week).

Damn I'm tired. I'll probably go to bed soon. I work again tomorrow, but I'm glad it's not until the late afternoon. I'm just going to try and sleep in (try being the key word). We'll see what happens. I still got a couple things to do before going to work as well.

So much to do, so little time...

I really need a vacation!

Summer's flying by so fast... :( it happens though I guess when you're constantly doing stuff. So much I wish I could've done, but again, not enough time. Many things I could've done differently but you know what, it's all in the past and there's not sense in looking back and dwelling on the outcome b/c there's nothing I can do to change it. Just gotta live and learn...just gotta keep telling myself that, but not overlookt he fact that I have to make sure I don't repeat the same stuff. I don't even know what I'm talkign about at this point so I'm gonna just go...
