| On occasion, I check this to see how everyone is doing. The last entry I have posted on here dates back to March of last year...unbelievable! There have been many changes in my life. First and foremost, I am no longer living...in Florida that is, haha. Why I did that, I don't know...just for fun I guess. I have relocated to the west coast in southern California to be exact. I'll have to update you on everything in another entry (hopefully not in another year)! I am posting on here to inform you that I will be running a marathon in June of this year. A few of you know that I will be running a marathon in June. Yes, a full marathon (26.2 miles). You might be thinking, "Jimmy must be nuts! 26.2 miles? Riiight..." I kid you not and I am absolutely serious about this. I have signed up for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in San Diego on June 3rd. I am currently training to participate in this event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! I have signed up with the San Gabriel Valley Team and we currently train at the Rose Bowl. This past Saturday was the first official day of training and we had to run a little over 3 miles which I will tell you is rather difficult with a sprained ankle! Not to worry though because the ankle has been healing fairly well and I am willing to endure the hardships I must overcome in order to complete my goal! Each member is asked to raise a minimum of $2400 so please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. I ask each one of you to make a minimum contribution of $26.20 ($1 per mile). I know it may seem like a lot of money, but please I ask for your help. I am not able to do this alone. Instead of going out and spending your money on alcohol (yes, I know this can be hard for some of you) give your liver and kidneys a break, stay home and enjoy a home-cooked meal. What better way to spend the money by contributing to a worthwhile cause? You may or may not know someone who suffers from a blood cancer, but that is besides the point. There are numerous people who suffer from these who are unable to experience life at its fullest due to the limitations. Every little bit helps and I sincerely believe that with all of your contirbutions and support, we can truly find a way to eliminate cancer once and for all! You can visit my personal website here to make your donations: Racing to Save LivesI hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress and please pass this along! You can also find out more about Team in Training here: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in TrainingThank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!!! - Mood:hopeful

| To all my Friends and Family,
I am writing to you because I (we) need your help. Every year my fraternity participates in the Relay for Life event, put on by the American Cancer Society, at our school. This is an event where teams raise money for cancer research and then for 24 hours, the team members take turns walking around our UCF track.
Last year, our brothers were able to raise over $5,000 with the help of our nation-wide brothers and the local community. This year, we have set our new goal at $7,500.
There is also a Luminaria Ceremony which pays tribute to the courageous men, women, and children whose lives have been touched by cancer. If you or someone else you know would like to purchase one as well, send them to our Team Page or contact me and I will send out a form.
The American Cancer Society is our chapter philanthropy in honor of one of our brothers who had cancer and survived. It is very important to us that we help other people in our local community battle cancer and survive, like our brother did.
We have all been touched by someone ifn our lifetime who has been afflicted with this disease and we need everyone to help us out. Remember, it's up to us to help in the fight against cancer. We believe we are very close to finding a cure. Please help us this year as we walk for the hope of a cure by clinking on the link below and making a contribution. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jimmy Ng

| The day has finally come: our departure from Freeport, Bahamas.
It's been over 5 weeks since I've left Florida to embark on such an amazing experience. It has definintely been a helluva time here in Freeport. The weather has been back and forth, from cold to warm and back to cold and then back to warm again, as it is today. It's such a lovely day and our flight doesn't leave for a few hours so I'm going to just walk around the markeplace a bit before we leave.
All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go...but not really. I've met some great people here and it's truly been fun, but I'm ready to head home. Last night we partied it up as much as we could. I didn't get too crazy, but a few of the other guys did. We met some people that are here on their spring break a few days ago and we've been hanging out with them since. Last night they wanted to stay up and party with us since it was our last night so that was cool. One thing I will not miss is Bahama Mamas, that's for sure. It's a bar that's open till 4am, the only one in the marketplace so everyone gathers there when it gets late. All the locals see the women and they move in, it's insane. A couple of us usually keep an eye on the girls we're with just to make sure they're good. I've seen a lot of shit go down, and the girls just want to have fun, but the locals are kinda creepy. So we just move in and CB them (if you don't know what CB stands for, just ask). They don't really have any respect for women, from what I can see. They just wait around till they show up from wherever they're from.
I was up till 4:45am w/ the LA core guys since they're leaving early, 5am to be exact. These guys are truly champions. To be able to stay up so late and not even care. They'll have plenty of time to sleep on the plane though, so I guess it's all good. Pretty much everyone in general that I have met has been good people and I'm glad to been have given this opportunity.
Went out to dinner last night; had a $60 gift certificate to a nice Italian restaurant that I won from a raffle at a charity function. Wasn't really looking at running into anyone, but guess what? I did. And whom you may ask was it that I ran into? None other than Orlando Bloom himself. He was still on the island with his girlfriend Kate Bosworth (playing the role of Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman movie). A few other people were with him as well, his personal assistant Mike and his girlfriend Francine (a Set Production Assistant on the movie) and a couple others. It was cool running into them and we said our goodbyes.
Well, that's about all I'm going to say right now. I'd like to head back to my room to make sure one more time my stuff is in order and I'm gonna go grab some food. I'll chat with you all later and I'll be seeing most of you guys soon! Peace! - Mood:chipper

| It's Sunday again! Woohoo! That means another day off which is very much needed. My roomate has his laptop up and running in the room, so I'm using that now instead of the internet cafe. I'm just in a lazy mood now but I do need to go out and get food at some point.
Last night, after work and the vigil we had for the make-up artist that recently passed away, we had the Wrap Party where everyone from cast and crew came out. It was really awesome. There were tons of people and free food and free drinks. The food was freakin' amazing, and the fact that it was free makes it even better! :) I didn't drink anything but a coupel cokes, so that was ok...just haven't been in the drinking mood. I met a ton more people and it was really cool. I'll post up the pics later though. Talked to Orlando Bloom for a bit and took a picture w/ him as well as Lee Arenberg, Marty Kleeba, David Baille, etc.
Lee's a really nice guy. I see him on the set all the time and we acknowledge each other w/ the occasional nod of the head or a fist bump or just a casual "hey, how are you?" Last night he saw me and was like, "Hey, what's going on man? What's your name? See you on set all the time and I almost didn't recognize you w/o your make-up." Haha...so that was pretty awesome that he recognized me. Marty's a pretty visible person on set as well and he's always saying "hey" to everyone. Also, funny thing...I ran into this woman on set yesterday. I had no idea who she was at first, she's an older woman. I chatted with her on set for a little bit, and then after the vigil I ran into her again. I noticed her standing next to Kiera Knightley and chatting w/ her and I'm like "that's probably her mom." Well, I didn't think anything of it at first, but then I ran into her again at the party last night and I formally introduced myself. Turns out, that was her mom. Lol...so I've been randomly chatting it up w/ Kiera Knightley mother and I didn't realize it till last night. I actually chatted a bit w/ Kiera last night, but I didn't ask for a photograph. Her mom was like "Are you working on Monday?" I said yeah b/c we all pretty much are...it's the last week. She said that we shall see you then, and I shook their hands and wished them a lovely evening and said that I'd see them on Monday. I was like "Wow...that was awesome!" Haha...
But yeah, there's soo much to say about the party that right now, I'm too lazy to type up. It's a Sunday after all and I'd like to get out and do stuff. I'm looking out the screen door and the sky doesn't look too appealign at the moment, so I think I'm gonna dip outta here soon before it starts to rain.
I'll be back soon so I'll be talking to you guys soon! Later! - Mood:lazy

| I'm sitting here in the holding tent as usual. Got here around 5am. We had a call time of 4am. I haven't been feeling very well lately. Probably b/c of the lack of sleep and the long hours at work, and possibly b/c of hte smoke they use to setup the shot. Oh well...
I feel like I'm ready to head back to the States already, lol. Johnny Depp has left the island already. The other actors are still here though. The past couple days, I've had some pretty good screen time, so we'll see what happens in the movie. Shame I have to wait over a year before the 3rd one comes out to see it. The 2nd movie comes out this summer, so we'll see if I have any screen time in it.
So this past weekend, one of the main make-up guys passed away. It was pretty sad around the set, mostly within the make-up personnel. They're taking donations as well as holding a basketball tournament this weekend to raise money, so I'm going to take part in that hopefully if I feel better.
I meant to call Shelly yesterday to wish her a Happy Birthday, but when I got back from the set, I showered and just crashed. I didn't make it to the gym like I had hoped, or done anything else, but the sleep was much needed. I'm still feeling tired today, but it happens. I hope today is a fast and early day.
I'm gonna dip outta here for a bit. A couple of the guys are leaving tomorrow so we might do something tonight, I don't know. Anyway, peace out! - Mood:crappy

| President's Day Weekend is technically over, but not for some of us. Us Asian Pirates are on hold today, which is nice. Sunday didn't feel like a Sunday, but yesterday did (weird, I know!)
We're another man down again as Julius left this morning. For whatever reason, he's been experiencing double vision for the past couple days and he went to the doctor's office yesterday and they did some tests, but couldn't do a MRI here on the island, so production had to arrange a flight for him this morning to go back to Orlando to get that checked out, just as a precautionary measure. It sucked seeing him go b/c this just starts the trend. This week, a couple of us are leaving, but the rest of us will should be staying through till next week. So far, we've pooled all of our pictures together and in total, we have about 1300 pics. We're gonna burn them onto a DVD and make copies so we each have them.
Nothing new going on today really. Doing laundry...funny how this always seems to be a constant task regardless where I go. Going out later to meet up some of the guys for volleyball and basketball. Lately, we've been playing football too. My body is really sore from all of it, but I still play b/c I'm stubborn...haha.
I'll have to check the bulletin board later to see what's going on tomorrow, whether we're working or not. Another thing that sucks is that the EITC (East India Trading Company) guys are supposedly finishing up today and perhaps leaving tomorrow for good. It's gonna be crazy seeing everyone leave. It's been such a great time and experience for all of us here.
It's funny how people randomly come up to me and aske me if I'm in the movie. At first, I'm like "No, jsut visiting..." and they're like "You're lying." Haha...I get called out on it a couple times. Sometimes to save the hassle I say "yes." They start asking a ton of questions about the other actors, whta's going on, etc. Of course I can't tell them much, but it's fun seeing them try to get info. out of us. The other day, a bunch of high school girls from Kentucky that were here for a choir tour were leaving the hotel and they saw us and figured out we were with the movie. They were all about Johnny Depp (go figure). It's interesting how people want to get their pictures taken w/ us and even ask for our autographs...lol. It's all for fun though. I should start charging or something! :)
Umm...I don't really know what else to say. There's really not a whole lot of updating since there hasn't been a whole lot that's happened since the last time I posted. I just miss the people back in Orlando, and movies! I need to see a ton of movies when I get back!!!
I'm heading out now, so I'll catch you guys later! - Mood:awake

| So it's finally Sunday! We've all been working soo much this week. Working 6 days in a row, with each being about 13-5 hr days is a long-ass week! But it looks as if we have the next 2-3 days off, Tuesday is still unsure, but today and tomorrow (President's Day) we have off. Nothing but relaing, working out, volleyball and basketball for me. I got to sleep in today which was freakin' awesome! I miss sleep, haha! This coming from the guy that believes sleep is overrated!
One of our guys, Mike, left the other day b/c he had to get home for work. He couldn't get off anymore. We couldn't do too much celebrating b/c we had an early call time which sucked. But it was good. He was like the hardest working out of all of us, since he was like Reggie Lee's stand-in and photo double, yet he was the first to leave. I find that rather ironic. Anywho, we miss ya man!
We finally wrapped up Pirates 2 yesterday. The last shot was filmed and now, it's off to the editing stage. It was kinda cool. The announcement was made while we we're on the shipa nd everyone's like "WOOHOO, YEAH!!!" It was cool. So we're now just working exclusively on 3. Even though this has been the longest week thus far, we've done soo much! Haven't really sat around in the holding tent as much...they just moved us onto the ships. We've been out on the water pretty much all week shooting some cool scenes. Yesterday was one of the best days filming. I was late to set b/c I kinda overslept and my roomate left, thinking I was awake, but wasn't. Oops! Thank God I got the phone call and got up and ready in time to catch the last bus leaving for the set! I was like "Oh shit!" Haha...everyone's poking fun at me now, but it's all good. I deserve it, lol.
I was hopign to post more, buuuut I told some people I'd go play some volleyball w/ them and then basketball. I gotta go change and what not so I'll post more later. Later! - Mood:chipper

| I've been working the past few days. We've been out on the sea on one of the ships and it's been pretty nice. The first day on board was really cold, but the past two days the weather has been decent. The only thing that sucks is that our call times have been really early in the morning, around 5 or 5:30am. Today wasn't so bad w/ a 7am call time. We're working again tomorrow at 9, so I get to at least sleep in a little bit.
Yesterday, we took the ship out to sea, like a few miles off shore which was pretty cool. We were doing some helicopter shots so basically we just did random tasks on deck as the helicopter flew by. It was really nice to actually sail the ship. Of course a tug boat took us out there otherwise it'd take forever to get out to sea since the ship is built on top of a barge. A couple of the guys had their cameras stashed in their costume, but what I was wearing, it was hard to stash anything b/c there wasn't any room anywhere at all. The crew on board also had cameras and we took them out and took random shots. Some really good ones and others are just plain goofy. It was probaly the best day we've had on set thus far. Today was cool too. Doing pretty much the same shots, so it's nice.
I went to a Charity party this past Sunday here on the island. It was put on by a bunch of the cast and crew here on the movie. It was really cool. I got there about an hour after it started, but I did get to meet a few of the other people on production as well as the other actors in the movie. Got a couple pictures but I don't have a way of posting them yet. I met Agnus Barnett and Giles New. These names may not ring a bell, but these are the two British soldiers in the first movie that stop Johnny Depp from taking a ship from the docks. They're both pretty funny and their great guys. I hung out w/ them for a bit before mingling w/ the rest of the croud. I kept running into people and I met Bill Nighy. He was pretty cool as well. Was telling stories about random things and he's pretty busy, working on 3 different movies at the moment, but they've been put on hold b/c the production is still trying to get funding. But he has a good memory. He remember my name so that was cool. I see him a couple times on set and he's like, "Hey there Jimmy!" I'm like, "Hi Bill, how's it going?" Haha...that's awesome! Same goes for Agnus and Giles. It's funny b/c usually, when you see one, the other one is close by. Andy Beckwith, another actor you may not know by name, but once you see him, you're like, "Oh...I know him!" Hehe...he was in the movie Snatch, with Brad Pitt, Benecio Del Toro, and a bunhc of other people. He played Errol, Brick Top's primary enforcer. He's really cool and I see him all the time, around the set, here at the Square, and he's a really nice guy. He and a couple of the other crew had their families in town visiting for Valentine's Day so that was really nice. I didn't want to bother him too much b/c I figured he would want to spend time with his family. But for the most part, I'md having fun.
But yeah...we're on the ship sooo much that even after I get off, I still feel like I'm on board in the water. Like I'm still swaying back and forth or something. it's crazy, but it happens. Fortunately, it hasn't been rough out in the waters so no one has gotten sick. Knock on wood, I know. Anyway, we got a later call time tomorrow, but we have to eat breafast before we head to set b/c breakfast would be done by the time we get there. Don't know what time they would wrap us up tomorrow, hopefully it wouldn't be too late. I'm kinda looking forward to a day off soon!
Jen was thinking about visiting me this weekend, which would have been fantastic, but unfortunately next week looks like it's going to be a crazy week for her, so I don't blame her. Still love ya anyway ;)
Well, I'm pretty much done here. Sorry if this is a bit long, but I haven't really updated in a while. Buut...I'll try when I have more time, and if I'm not extremely exhausted like I have been in the past couple days. Until then, have a great day/night/whatever! - Mood:calm

| I'm sitting here at a little internet cafe in Freeport. Just had a late lunch/early dinner. Food here is awesome, just gotta figure out where to get it. Gotta be careful though, it can get pretty pricey!
The island is pretty cool. Was driving around early, actually riding around it is more like it, but it looks like any other place, w/ the exception of all this land...lol, and water being like everywhere.
I'm going to back track a little here, starting w/ the traveling yesterday...
Got to the airport safely and boarded the plane to Miami. Met some guys who did it before and they were telling me how cool it is. Got to Miami and we ended up leaving a little late...actually, we left quite later than normal. Turns out, the plane was overweight! Sooo crazy! We sat there all hot and what not b/c the engine was off, and it was a small plane too! Full and everything. Soo many asians!! Hahaha....felt weird. But anyway, they took off some luggage which sucked for quite a lot of people, but I was one of the lucky ones that had their luggage on board. We finally made it to Freeport around 11:30pm and checked in, got my roomate and went to get food. Things close here really early!!! Insane! We barely managed to get food, but we did.
So, this morning we did a little grocery shopping. Went to the Winn-Dixie down the road and picked up some stuff. We have a fridge so we just got some beverages...no alcohol...yet....lol, and some snacks. Got back and talked to some people and they were like "You got a fridge?!?!" and "Dude, that's cool, we should go to the store too!" Haha...looks like we made some people's day.
Met some more people and had a little meeting before a few of us had to go to Wardrobe (which is like on the other side of the island) to get fitted for costumes. Mine's soo cool, but thick! Sigh...and well, I kinda had my head, ahem...shaved......like no hair! Don't worry, I took pictures...but I won't post them! Hahah...not till I get back though. Looks liek I'll have my head shaved till I actually leave here, so 5 weeks...wow! I know, it's crazy, but well, you do what you gotta do.
We start shooting tomorrow. Cant' divulge much about the movie, for obvious reason! But we'll be doing it a couple days, off and on. Sundays are our mandatory days off. No one works on SUnday so that's nice. BUt we may be working either 3-6 days a week. It's pretty nice down here and I can't wait to get started! Finally I can relax and have fun, but do work too! The guys I've met here are pretty cool.
Oh, me and my roomate met Keira Knightley's double...haha, and she's a looker! ;) Turns out, she's staying in the room right next to us! Hehe...it's all good though...fun times! Haven't gone to check out the beach yet, but I plan on it. Have some time this evening b/c we're done for the day.
Well, I'm about done here, so I'm gonna head out! I'll try and keep posted here! Catch you al - Mood:calm

| Well, it's about 12:30pm here in good ol' sunny Orlando, Florida. I will be leaving my place around 3:45ish when Jaimee comes to pick me up and take me to the airport. Wow...I can't believe this day has finally come! Been sooo busy w/ work lately that I really haven't had time to get real excited for this trip! I'll be arriving in Freeport, Bahamas later this evening after a layover in Miami. I really don't know what to expect.
I know that I will be picked up at the airport when I get there and taken to my hotel. There's some stuff for me at check-in already and I guess, depending on what time I start tomorrow morning will determine what i do tonight! :) AllI know thus far is that tomorrow morning I take the shuttle to wherever and get fitted for costumes. Haha...sounds interesting!
They're taking care of pretty much eveything, expenses, etc. on top of paying me. I'll have my phone on me, but as of tomorrow, I have put a suspension on the account so I don't have to pay for the month I'm gone and plus the rates are ridiculous ($2.99 a minute!!!!). I'm waiting for the unlock code to come through so I can get a SIM card while I'm down there and I can keep in touch w/ people. But until then, there's a nice little internet cafe that I'll make use of and post up here from time to time, whenever I can!
I'm gonna miss you guys, but feel free to drop me a line! Most of you have my e-mail (insidescoop21@yahoo.com), or just send some messages my way via this! Well, that's about all I got right now...just gonna chill out a bit before I go! Take care and good luck w/ everything! I shall see you guys in about a month-ish! - Mood:anxious
